I am a 2008 graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Arts in journalism and a minor in Spanish.
I have interned and worked at various media outlets, including The Ethics and Excellence in Journalism Foundation, The Oklahoman, the Oklahoma Gazette, KGOU Radio, the Public Information Office of Oklahoma City and City Channel 20, World Literature Today and The Oklahoma Daily.
I currently work as a media relations account executive, national and strategy, at Saxum Public Relations. I serve as the lead on several client accounts, handle media relations for a number of clients and manage the Saxum Web site and our social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook and The Saxum Perspective Blog.
My academic achievements include graduating Summa Cum Laude from the OU Honors College with a 4.0 GPA, 2008 Highest Academic Achievement in Journalism Award, Kappa Tau Alpha Journalism Honor Society Top Scholar, 2nd place award in In-Depth Enterprise Reporting from Society of Professional Journalists and member of Phi Beta Kappa.
